Pathfinder Kids Kampus, the child care division of Pathfinder Services was created in 1990 to provide an integrated center for all children in Huntington County. Full-time and part-time care is available. Pathfinder Kids Kampus engages in partnerships to provide supports to families and focus on the whole child. Collaborative efforts and resources are shared with all community human services agencies throughout Huntington County.

24th Annual Pathfinder Kids Kampus Golf Outing
was held at the improved Norwood Golf Club on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.
Over $11,000 was raised to support the programs and services offered to the families and children served by Pathfinder Kids Kampus!

Pathfinder Kids Kampus, “A Caring Place to Go and Grow!” will be participating in several activities throughout the month of April to celebrate Month of the Young Child™.
The Month of the Young Child™ is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and was first started in 1971. The purpose of the Month of the Young Child™ is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs as are offered by Pathfinder Kids Kampus.
This year’s theme for Month of the Young Child™ is Celebrating our Youngest Learners!
April 6 – 10 Focus on Illustrations & Literature
April 13 – 17 Focus on Painting
April 20 – 24 Focus on Music
April 27 – May 1 Focus on Dancing
As a part of the Focus on Painting week, local watercolor painting artist Jane Herzog will be at Pathfinder Kids Kampus to paint with the 3, 4, and 5 year olds on April 15th at 10:00AM.
“Each child in our community deserves high-quality learning experiences which are proven to lay the foundation for success in school and in later life,” said Pathfinder Kids Kampus Administrator, Lisa Mettler. “Month of the Young Child™ is a time to recognize the importance of early learning and development and to celebrate all young children. Today, we know more than ever how important early childhood development is to giving the children of our community a great start.”

Santa and Mrs. Claus made their rounds this past week visiting with the children at Pathfinder Kids Kampus. The children had time to visit and share all of their Christmas wishes with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Each child’s moment was captured in a photograph which was then shared with the family of the child. Lee An Berry recently joined Pathfinder Kids Kampus as the Early Head Start Assistant Director and Educational Services Coordinator. Berry will provide oversight of the Early Head Start Program and will work closely with the Pathfinder Kids Kampus teaching staff to enhance curriculum and further their professional development. Pathfinder Kids Kampus, “A Caring Place to Go and Grow!” announced today their sponsorship of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and its policy for providing free and reduced-price meals at no separate charge. Evelyn Curry (pictured) who was able to feed “Gabe the Goat” from the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo Zoomobile. This visit was made possible from a donation from Psi Iota Xi sorority.
Psi Iota Xi donated the funds to provide the opportunity for children involved in Early Head Start at Pathfinder Kids Kampus to learn about, petting and feeding Gabe along with “Sherman the Armadillo” who will visit the campus in July.
Psi Iota Xi provides donations to the community from the proceeds of The Forks of the Wabash Pioneer Festival.
